The best things in life aren't sittin’ on a shelf—they’re poured straight into your glass and served up with a side of Texas swagger. Around here, we don’t just drink wine, we live it—one vineyard, one story, one bold pour at a time. Here in Texas, every pour tells a story—of sun, soil, and a little stubborn grit that makes each glass unmistakably ours.

Welcome to Austin Wine Week — where y’all come thirsty, stay curious, and leave downright legendary. 🍷🤠✨

Austin Wine Week isn’t your average sip-and-stroll—it’s a full-throttle Texas showcase where the state’s boldest bottles take center stage. We’re talking big flavors, bigger personalities, and stories poured one glass at a time. From unique tastings to wine pop-ups, rosés that’ll catch you off guard to winemaker throwdowns that get a little wild, every day’s another reason to raise a glass and say, “hell yeah, Texas makes damn good wine”. It’s bold, it’s rowdy, and it’s anything but ordinary.

Curious why Texas wine’s getting all the buzz? Then dust off those cowboy boots and come thirsty. One week. All Texas. All kinds of wine. This isn’t just a festival—it’s a celebration of the people, places, and pours that are putting Texas on the map. It’s a full-on celebration of flavor, grit, and Lone Star pride.

The Team

Amanda Laden

Founder & CEO, Austin Wine Week

I’m a business leader, cultural flirt, community builder, and fermentation fanatic.

I didn’t grow up swirling glasses in burgundy—I grew up on the mean streets of Iowa, where wine came in a box and "terroir" sounded like a typo. But one class in grad school cracked something open. I moved to London, trained with WSET, and built a career in the wine trade—selling to Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, and some of the world’s most demanding palates.

Now I run a VinoKarma, an organization that brings people together through events, experiences, and entertainment with wine and culture at the center. I started Austin Wine Week because I noticed that restaurants and bars across Texas were not offering enough Texas wines. It feels like the Lone Star State is quietly crafting bottles that rival some of the best in the world, but most people—even locals—still have no idea just how good Texas wine has become. I’m passionate about supporting local makers and elevating the stories of the 600+ wineries spread across the state.

My goal is to experience and inspire a life well-lived through my approach to wine, womanhood, business, travel, and community. One sip, one story, one wild corner of the world at a time.
